The Turkey Bowl

For the past few years my oldest two boys have participated in the Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving morning.  This game is all Dallin talks about for weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.  It is a super exciting day for him!

I was so glad that another young boy, our friend Luke, showed up too.  It made for a great match-up!

Nathan had a great time playing too.  I just love it that they can do these kind of father-son things together.  I’m pretty sure they love it too :)

I can’t wait until all three of my boys are playing out there!

Her ACTUAL birthday

On her actual birthday, I took some cupcakes into Mandy’s class.

They were yellow cake with chocolate icing per Mandy’s very specific instructions :)

She told me they were the best cupcakes ever!  I’m pretty sure she had a very very happy birthday!

Mandy’s birthday party was a big hit!  All the kids got dressed up fancy -

Ate yummy food with fancy toothpicks on fancy plates -

Decorated our own very fancy cupcakes -

And then opened all the very fancy presents!

Playing at Torreya

We sure love spending time with cousins!  We played hard and when we were done with our walk we were all exhausted!  It was a great day!

Thanksgiving Parties

Now that both Dallin and Mandy are in school, I get to go to two parties for every holiday!

At Dallin’s we all ate a Thanksgiving dinner from the cafeteria together and then they put on a little program telling us all about Thanksgiving and what it means to them.  It was really cute!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For Mandy’s party, all of the parents brought in food and we had an ENORMOUS feast.  Seriously – so much food!!!  And of course the party started out with a little entertainment from our little Indians.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They were super cute!  We had a great time at both parties.  I am looking forward to the day when I’ll get to go to three for each holiday :)

Getting Fancy with Mema

While visiting with Mema (my Aunt Becky) Mandy decided that she wanted to get fancy, so of course Layton had to join in too!
