Jarvis Family Reunion
The Jarvis Family Reunion is held every year on Labor day at Nathan's Uncle Walter and Aunt Tobi's home. They always grill hamburgers and hot dogs and fry a whole a turkey. Everyone that comes provides the sides and it is always a delicious feast! Because we live in Florida, it is always nice and hot on Labor Day and part of the fun of the family reunion is getting to go for a swim in the pool with all of the cousins. I think that Dallin and Mandy got in the pool about 30 minutes after we got there and only got out for one short little time in order to eat lunch! Layton enjoyed himself too. He got passed around to everyone and Dee eventually put him to sleep. Nathan's favorite part of the day was playing a little basketball. I know it was his favorite part because he talked about it for hours after we left. He was so proud of himself for hanging in there with all those young boys. In fact he said he would have kept playing, but the young guys got tired. All and all it was a really fun day and we enjoyed getting to visit with everyone and catch up with those that we hadn't seen in a long time. Even though there were a lot of people missing at the reunion, there was still right at 60 people there. I love it that both Nathan and I have a really big extended family. It makes for good times and good memories.
