The sounds actually scared Dallin and so we had to move on to another exhibit rather quickly. However the stairs that lead to other exhibits go right past the enormous kid so Dallin found it necessary to hold his hands over his ears while we passed by. My kids are so quirky. They are a never ending source of amusement for me.
They have green rooms set up in a couple of places where you can go in and see yourself on TV in a completely different setting. One green room was an African hut and another was a weather station where you could forecast the weather. And don't forget the moon sand that you could mold into any shape. Mandy loved it.
The exhibit that I really enjoyed was the art exhibit. Beside each painting was a telephone that allowed you to listen to the history and details of the painting. Then there was an interactive project beside each painting where you could experience the art hands on.
I think Mandy's favorite exhibit was the music room. She danced and jumped and played and then cried when it was time to move on. Dallin really got into too. On one exhibit you could press more that one instrument button at a time to hear them play an orchestrated "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Dallin was able to get 6 instruments playing all at once. He was quite the little maestro.
After prying Mandy away from the music room, she was quite mollified to find herself in the grocery store where she filled her cart to very brim.
Dallin and Mandy were scared of the cow because it made a loud mooing noise when you sat down to milk it. Good thing Nathan wasn't afraid and was willing to show them how it was done.
Welcome to Snowville. They had a foam spraying machine that spayed out little clumps of foam that really made it seem like it was snowing in there. Mandy decided to go ice fishing, but when no fish would take a bite on her magnetic pole, she went diving right down into the hole herself to find her a fish.
We ended our Edventure outside climbing on the spider web. Nathan, who is really my fourth child in disguise, had to show Dallin how to climb up to the very top. We had such a good time. I just wish they had something like this much closer to home so that we could go more often.
That looks like lots of fun. We'll have to go with you guys sometime when we are able to. Just bad timing, unfortunately. :(
ReplyDeleteThat looks like tons of fun! Could you leave a comment telling me where it is?

ReplyDeleteI am so glad you had a good time! At least we have one claim to fame in Columbia... not very much else to do unfortunately. It will be so much fun to take Annabelle there when she gets older. =)
