Gingerbread Houses

Last Thursday, I went to Dallin's kindergarten class to help him make a gingerbread house. It was so cute. I had never seen gingerbread houses made this way before. They used empty milk cartons, slathered them with canned icing and then used graham crackers to make the walls and roof. They used an ice cream cone to create a Christmas tree. Then decorated it in the usual way with tons and tons of candy. All of the kids enjoyed it so much. I am always really glad when I go to these things at Dallin's school because there are so many other parents that are unable to make it because of work or other reasons. So as usual, I ended up not only helping Dallin with his gingerbread house, but also the four other little kids that sit at his table. It always makes me feel really grateful that I am in a situation where even though I still have to work, I can still be there for my kids to make great memories with them. I really hate it that after having three kids I still even have to work at all, but since I do, I couldn't have asked for a better situation.
