One more soccer season down, only 30 or 40 more to go. Truthfully though, I really enjoy watching Dallin play soccer. I am glad that he loves it and I really do hope that he sticks with it and plays it for the next 11 or 12 years. Or if not soccer, something. I think organized sports are great for kids.
It keeps them active and healthy and I absolutely love the good sportsmanship taught at the YMCA leagues. I don’t know how other leagues are because we’ve not yet experienced them, but I so appreciate them teaching the kids to play nice and not worry about the score and just have fun. It is really a great atmosphere there.
I am sure a lot of that has to do with the coach Dallin has. He told us that he will be moving up to the next age group next year. So will Dallin, so we are going to try to see if we can request for Dallin to play on his team again.
As always they ended the season with a fun party.
And of course awards for completing the season.
Dallin just loves his metal. He things he is a super soccer star (his wording, not mine)!
And this little bug…well we think that he is going to be a soccer star too one day. He has already learned that being fully hydrated is one of the most important aspects of playing hard! So what if he stole it from his sister. He needed a drink!
I have really been slacking on keeping up with all the blogs!
ReplyDeleteI think it is great that Dallin loves soccer so much and that he is involved in sports. I keep hoping that one day my kids will become team players. I can't wait to see Mandy and Layton in their uniforms!
I'm glad ya'll had fun at the carnival - it was a good time. It was so great to see all the kids try so hard to win those games!
I love your blog book - I can't wait to see it!
I hope Layton feels better now, and hope to see you on Sunday!
Your daddy and I enjoy the blogs. I can't wait to see your book. It sounds very nice. Love you. Mama
