We have had a really wet summer this year. Many an afternoon, my kids have spent indoors due to the deluge of water outside. Last week, instead of complaining about the rain, we decided to embrace it. And WOW did we have fun. I think the pictures speak for themselves.
Wow! I think they did "sieze the day" (carpae deium) Gotta love it. Some nice shots, Kat.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't you call me?!! I can do a mean Pete Rose...but then again, looks like your bunch can too! Those pictures are awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt is totally remarkable how you come up with things that are so fun! I would have loved to do that as a child (but then again, I had the Springs). Your photography is phenominal. You have caught the spirit of the event. I would like to know one thing....how many times did you have to change the bathwater to get them clean? :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! I love the upclose of Layton with mud splattered on his face. Possibly favorite Layton picture EVER! Great job. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Pictures!!!! I always loved playing in the mud as a kid. It creates memories your kids will remember always.
ReplyDeletethis is our kind of day!Don't wait for rain- just use the hose!! The kids look so happy.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. This is one of my early childhood memories from when I was a kid. I am sure it will be a great memory of yours and the kids too. How fun and great pictures!!
ReplyDeleteOnce again you've inspired me as a mother! I love everything about you and your parenting, Katheryn!!
ReplyDeleteJinger you are too sweet! It's ME who wants to be like YOU!
ReplyDeleteAB - I only had to change the water three times. Not too shabby right?
Kylia - the next time I see you, you are so going to do your Pete Rose for me...and I'm going to video it!
Thanks to everyone for all your compliments of the pictures. Have I mentioned lately how much I love my camera?
AWESOME day! I don't know if I would have let my kids do it, so I'm glad you did it first so that I can feel okay about it later. ;)
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome pictures. I wish I had puddles to jump in :)
