Layton turned 18 months a couple of weeks ago and had his check up appointment last week. No surprises. He is super healthy and super small. So small that he is not even within the boundaries of normal on the growth chart. The purple line in the chart below is the average boy. Layton is the yellow line. The set of lines on the upper portion show age vs. height. The lower portion depicts age vs. weight.
Our doctor doesn’t seemed concerned about it at all, because even though he is below the normal range he is still gaining weight and inches at a steady rate. Some kids just have a different growth pattern than the norm and I guess Layton is one of them. The doctor did tell me again to try to get as many calories in him as possible. Now I don’t feel so bad about letting him pig out on cinnamons rolls :)
He is such crazy funny sweet boy. We are so grateful for him!
Oh so cute! He has the best smile ever! I would find it hard to believe that he was ever unhappy because everytime I see him he has a huge adorable smile on his face. What a happy year and half for your family!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that kid. I kinda feel like he belongs a bit to me since I have been able to Enjoy his CUTENESS these past 18 months. I love that smile and that little body. Make that cake a few more times and that kid will be good to go on the Calories! YUMMERS that was DELISH!! We loved on it last night after our FHE and it was a Hit! Millie and I just had a second helping for a mid morning treat. Millie sat up in her bed and called Mom... do we have more cake? We couldn't help ourself... we jumped right on it! Thanks!

He is such a cutie! He was cute today at playgroup kicking that ball around. 18 months now, but on a soccer team before you know it!
