While we have lost one beloved family member, we seem to have gained one too. This is Deanna:
She has come to live with us for a little while. She has run into some family problems because of her decision to join the church and so needed a place to stay. We had already been planning on putting all three kids in a room together because that is what they wanted, so that left us with an open bedroom which she moved into it.
I think her coming was a really good blessing for our house. It hasn’t been so clean in FOREVER. We totally cleaned out that bedroom and closet, plus the kids’ bedroom and closet and we got rid of a LOT of stuff. Stuff we probably should have gotten rid of a LONG LONG time ago.
We’re hoping that Deanna enjoys staying with us. I know the kids love her. I hope they don’t get on her nerves too badly because they are always wanting to spend time with her!
I’m really proud of her though. She is 18 years old (almost 19) and she has handled the situation as best as anyone could. She went out and found a job at a daycare center. She’ll be starting college in the fall. She is a wonderful young woman. We’re hoping and praying that one day her dad will realize how much he is missing by not having her in his life and that she’ll be able to reconcile things with him. In the meantime, we are just happy that she is here with us.
P.S. You can take a peak at some photos I did of Justin, Nancy, and Hazel here and here.
We are so happy for Miss Deanna that she has her own room, but we sure do miss her living with us!!
