about my dad. I think about him everyday, but he’s been on my mind a lot this week. This past Tuesday marks 1 year since he passed away.
I miss him, but I’m pretty sure he’s been watching over everything we do. I’m pretty sure he has watched Mandy enjoy her first year of ballet, cheered Dallin as he made some awesome hits at baseball, kissed Layton’s boo-boos right along with us, and laughed at all of the crazy funny things they do. I keep thinking how much I wish he could be here to watch Dallin get baptized next month and to stand in the circle to give Dallin the gift of the Holy Ghost. It just doesn’t quite seem fair that he won’t be. I have a feeling though he wouldn’t miss it and that he’ll be there in spirit.
He will totally be there!:)
ReplyDeleteI miss him too.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how much you miss him. I know he's been right there for every thing. I have to remind my husband that his dad hasn't missed a thing in the last 5 years. I just know how much you'd LOVE a big daddy hug to go along with his spiritual attendance. Love you!
ReplyDeleteI love you! I can not even imagine how you feel but I do KNOW that he is really proud of the sweet family that you and Nathan have made. YOU are pretty great and I am sure that if he can't be here physically that you are right spiritually he has not missed a thing. I know how nice it is when life gets crazy to see my daddy and just get a hug..... so if you need to use my dad for some good hugs he is all yours. It is not the same i know but it is something. Plus, your doing a great job for you kids leaving a piece of his legacy and life here on earth. If you need a girls night I know a couple girls that would love to get you laughing!
ReplyDeleteKatheryn, I'm sure your Dad will be there in spirit. And Aunt Doris will be watching with a smile on her face, from above. I miss them both and I'm sorry for your loss. Thank goodness for the blessing of the temple and eternal families. Love you.
