To celebrate Nathan’s birthday and father’s day, Nathan and I left the kids a Nana’s house (thank-you Nana!) and went off to Atlanta for a “romantic weekend”. Ok so not exactly. Really it was a weekend of Braves baseball, but in between the Braves fanaticism, I snuck in a little romantic time too.
First stop – the behind the scenes tour of Turner Field. It begins in the Braves Hall of Fame museum.
Next up were the private boxes. I could totally watch a game from there anytime.
Then on to the press box and the announcer’s booth. Nathan sat in Chip Caray’s chair :)
We went under the stadium as well to see the clubhouse, the news conference room, and the hangout for the people that have seats behind home plate.
Lastly out onto the field and hanging out in the dugout.
And of course we attended that game that night. It was a little sad though because we lost.
Because Nathan got to choose all of our activities for the weekend, I chose were we would stay. We stayed at this adorable little bed and breakfast. Our host was just as cute as she could be. And she cooked a killer breakfast. Wow it was good!!! Our only complaint about the place – a train that came through nearby that woke us up at 5:00 in the morning. Not cool. So not cool.
Before the second game that we attended, we had a little time to kill so we took a short walk along a trail at the Chattahoochee River State Park. It was beautiful!
Then it was Braves time all over again!! This time was much better though because….
we won!!!! It was a fantastic come back victory in the bottom of the 9th.
It was a wonderful weekend. I love spending one on one time with my sweetie!
