Mandy said, “Mom, do you know what Feliz Navidot means? It means Merry Christmas in Spanish.”
There are quite a few things I find funny about this little bit of instruction that Mandy gave me.
#1 The pronunciation – I was not aware that Navidad not only ended with a ‘T’, but that it ended with a very enunciated ‘T’.
#2 The information – I guess she forgot that I’M the one who told HER what Feliz Navidad means.
#3 The subject – It’s not even Easter yet and Mandy is already thinking about Christmas. I guess this year is just going to be one very long holiday season! I have a feeling her Christmas wish list by the time we actually get to Christmas is going to be a mile long!

I love the way kids misspronounce (sp?) things. In our house that's why we have fwaff-fwas (waffles), cu-cakes (anything that even comes close to a pancake or cupcake), and fasfiers (pacifiers), just to name a few.
Emma is thinking about Christmas, too. She told me last night she couldn't wait for Christmas!
That's a really sweet picture of Mandy - I miss teaching her every Sunday!
