SeaWorld 2013

The kids had a planning day off from school in October, so we surprised them by waking them up very early, piling into the van, and heading down to SeaWorld.  We had the best day!  This kids just loved all the animals!  An added bonus – off season weekday tickets are MUCH cheaper and the weather was perfect!
Stingrays:  My kids were scared to touch them even though everyone around them did!

Dolphins:  I love that when some of them swam by they took a moment to look directly at the kids.  It was cute!

While Nathan, Mandy, and Dallin went on the Atlantis ride, Layton and I sat and watched them.  Layton REFUSED to go on the ride even though he was tall enough.  Oh well.  Maybe another year. So this is what he did while they rode:

Cub Scout Awards

Back in July Dallin took part in a Cub Scout awards ceremony.  He got to be the scout flag bearer.

He had earned quite a few belt loops and a couple of patches.

A Day at the Beach!

Our Independence day was a pretty wet one – so no fireworks – BUT – there was quite a bit of puddle splashing going on!

We also had a special guest appearance from Honest Abe who shared a special message with us.

Even a wet holiday is a good holiday!
