I think he's got it! For the last few weeks Layton has been sitting up on his own for 15 or 20 seconds at a time. Then he would flop over either to the side or backwards. Now he has definitely got the hang of keeping himself in a sitting position without falling over. He has even learned to go from a sitting position to a crawling position whenever he is ready to get moving. I still think its funny that he learned how to crawl before really mastering sitting up. My baby is growing up way too fast. With all the technology out there, hasn't anyone figured out a way to slow time so that I can enjoy my baby for a little while longer?

Another Milestone Mastered
I think he's got it! For the last few weeks Layton has been sitting up on his own for 15 or 20 seconds at a time. Then he would flop over either to the side or backwards. Now he has definitely got the hang of keeping himself in a sitting position without falling over. He has even learned to go from a sitting position to a crawling position whenever he is ready to get moving. I still think its funny that he learned how to crawl before really mastering sitting up. Kate is probably our last one, so I am in NO hurry to have her grow up. By this age with the other girls, we started encouraging the whole scooting thing. Not this time. I am not ready for her to be mobile just yet. I want to hang on to every little baby piece of her!
Alright ladies, y'all are scaring me with this growing up talk! Let me think that these babies will stay little forever! =) But yay for Layton... I guess he just realized that he'd get more places crawling than sitting up.
That has been my absolutely FAVORITE thing!!! Forget crawling, forget holding a bottle, sitting up is the MOST IMPORTANT!! Then you can quit carrying that ridiculous car seat around!! When Kyers sat up I felt like I had hung the moon!!!
