After the program the kids enjoyed a nice little party that the primary presidency planned for them. They watched a couple of Book of Mormon cartoons, made beautiful cards for a special sister in our ward who had just undergone major surgery, and then they played a very fun game of Simon Says. Dallin didn't really get the whole concept of Simon Says. He just did whatever he was told, whether "Simon" said it or not. He had a great time and we are so proud of how well he did. I'll have to say that I am so proud of all of the primary children. They sang so GREAT!!! For our last song we did "I Am a Child of God" and for the chorus we sang it once in Spanish, once in Ukrainian, once in German, and once in English. All of the kids did so fantastic at learning all those new languages. They were AWESOME! I love primary and I especially love being the primary chorister. It is my favorite calling in the church and I hope they don't release me for a very very very long time :)

Hee! Our Primary is singing the first verse in French.
Our program isn't until next month. I've been trying to prepare my 7(!) Sunbeams for it, and it's been an uphill battle. They are a somewhat shy, but rambunctious, lot- none of them will even give talks in Primary. Luckily our Primary presidency is letting me sit on the front row with them, instead of on the stand, and we are going to say "our" part as a group.
I am so jealous of three things - one, that your program is over (ours is on 10/26), two that you have the BEST calling in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and three that your kids can not only learn the song in English they can learn it in three other languages as well! Good for y'all!!!! I'm proud of Dallin for memorizing his part...y'all sure y'all don't want to move back home?! If it's the city life you'll miss, Tallahassee has got you covered!
What a good job Dallin (& Mandy)! I wish I could have been there to see the whole program. I have never been to another ward except Middleburg that had a party after the Primary Program, and I think it's a great idea! The kids need a break after all that work! And I am sure they love their choister too. =)
I love that y'all sang it in different languages! That is so awesome. I just got called as the primary secretary a couple of months ago so it's been nice to hear the primary songs again!
