Last Friday night we dropped the kids off at Maren's house and went to Nathan's office party. It was a huge event, with probably 250 to 300 people there. The food was delicious and we stuffed ourselves. And then we spent some time just walking around and talking with the people in the finance department that Nathan works. I'll have to tell you, Nathan works with quite a few people that have been endowed with more than their fair share of personality. His immediate manager, Jennifer, is an excellent case in point. The highlight of the evening was the karaoke performances and well, Jennifer's was by far the best. She did "Ice Ice Baby" without hardly even looking at the word prompts. And her dance performance was awesome. Nathan says that a lot of the people that he works with are super fun like that. I know he definitely enjoys working with all of them because he always comes home with some funny story of what happened during the day and he rarely spends any time complaining about work. One of the funniest things to me is that this group that he is working with right now is really into making up nick names for everyone. I think Nathan has like four or five different ones, including "the Hoff", because at one of their work get togethers at the beach, he was the only one brave enough to take off his shirt and go swimming in the ocean. I'm glad he has found a job where he not only enjoys the work, but he also enjoys the atmosphere.
P.S. Unless I am looking at pictures of myself standing beside Nathan, I often forget about how short I am compared to him. Wow, I am really really really short. Maybe I need to start wearing stilettos or something. Nah, I would just end up breaking my neck. I am way too clumsy for heels. Don't hate me because I'm short and not afraid to show it ;)

You both look Great! It is so fun to go on a Hot Date with your Honey and get to dress up! Sounds like a fun night! I like you just the way you are... Short and Perfect!
Opps this is Kelly
How fun! James and I are debating whether or not to go to his work Christmas party Saturday night. I'm not sure it's going to be our 'scene', so we haven't decided yet. But any time you can get dressed up and go out with your husband is a good thing!
Sounds like fun. We're in desperate need of a date night. Paul's Christmas Party is at Whitey's Fish camp this year but he said they're all going to get drunk so we won't be attending. P.S. I feel really short standing next to Paul. But I've not wore heals since I got pregnant with Julia and fell down the stairs.
