Speaking of thievery.....

Dallin was eating an apple and then sat it down on the piano bench because he needed to take a moment and play. Layton spied the lonesome apple sitting there and before we knew it, was holding it in his hands getting ready to chow down. Dallin saw the theft and then ran over to reclaim his apple. When Dallin took it back, Layton got so mad that he forgot to hold onto the piano bench and toppled over and bumped his head. He of course began screaming, so we let him have the apple back to mollify him. If you look closely at a couple of the pictures you can see the big knot to the right of his eye and the remnants of tears. I know that makes it seem like we were giving in to him by letting him have the apple, and in a way we were, but it also served as a punishment for Dallin. We have told him over and over and over and over and over and over and over again not to leave things where Latyon can reach them. So hopefully now Dallin has learned his lesson. Probably not though. I just picked up his favorite "Herbie" car off the floor and it is wet with Layton's slobber. Oh well.

OUCH!!! Wish I could give you a Giant Kiss on that Huge boo boo baby Layton!
I'm sure Dallin learned his lesson. He is such a good kid! Good luck... we are trying to teach lessons like this everyday and will forever! Hopefully they won't all cause us pain. Maizie left Dad's drink on the edge of the counter last night. Millie saw it and ran right over and poured a full Coke on her head I had just gotten her out of the tub in clean pj's and all over my nice clean floor. STICKY!!!

That does look like a pretty bad bump..your camera is VERY good. The first picture of Layton is about the funniest I have ever seen. I started laughing when I saw it but stopped when I read the story. I am sure Dallin didn't mean for Layton to get hurt. He is such a great big brother.

At our house, anything left in a baby's reach is fair game. I don't think they ever learn that, though.
Layton, sorry that you got hurt :(

OOH poor baby, that bumb looks like it hurt. Hope that apple easyed some of the pain.

It's daddy that needs to learn that lesson in our house. He always leaves his drinks on easy to reach spots, and Haley normally pours them all over the place. Or sticks her hands in to get Ice cubes.
