Last Saturday morning we crashed Evan’s birthday party at my dad’s farm and went fishing. It was such a beautiful day. My dad claims that Evan always seems to work some kind of magic on the weather because he has been having his birthday party at the farm for the last three years and every time, even if it had been rainy or cold the day before, somehow at his birthday party the weather has been absolutely perfect. Sarah and Emily came with us too. Emily spent most of her time with her best little buddy Layton. He loves her. Cliff was kind enough to let the kids use a couple of his fishing poles.
I say we all went fishing, but truthfully Nathan, with a little help from Cliff, is really the one who went fishing.
He baited the hooks, and cast the lines:
Then Dallin, Sarah, Emily, and Mandy enjoyed the fruits of his labor:
He removed the fish from the lines and then started all over again:
Dallin was scared of actually touching the fish and worms, but he did enjoy reeling the fish in and poking at the worms in the bait cup:
Layton crawled and played and then just chilled. And Mandy, she wore her pink hoodie because she knew all of you would miss seeing it if she didn’t.
Thanks Daddy for having such a wonderful place that the kids can experience so many exciting and beautiful things.

Go, Kat, Go!!!! You have got to get those albums made. So many great stories and photos. You really captured Davids face beautifully. Mark Sims was at Mama's yesterday and asked how "Sweet Doll" was doing. I had forgotten that was your nickname when you were little (besides "You're a Flooty-Toosie")
Mama is really enjoying these and is looking forward to the book.
it was very fun going fishing!!!
I have to say I love Dallin's shirt, and you are a good sport for letting him wear it! I got in trouble today for putting Annabelle in her "Braves" outfit (but that doesn't mean I won't do it again & again & again!).
