Dallin had to make a leprechaun trap to take into school today. Sometime this afternoon all the kindergarten kids are going to try to trap a leprechaun and steal his gold. Let’s hope that Dallin comes home with a whole huge pot of it. We could use a little gold around here. This is the trap:
He made it shiny gold because he knows that leprechauns are attracted to shiny things.
This is how it works:
You leave the trap door open and put a few gold coins (chocolate ones) at the front to temp the leprechaun to enter.
After he goes in, you sneak up to the trap, slam the door shut and lock him in there. Then you don’t let him out until he tells you where all his hidden treasure is.
Got my fingers crossed! I am hoping to hear Dallin’s pockets jingling with lots of gold coins when I pick him up from school today!

WOW... that looks great.. it will attract the lepercahauns for sure! My fingers are crosssed! If you get some Gold you will have to cal and tell Kade all about it!
We had to make one, too, but Emma didn't tell us until 9:15 last night. Thankfully she didn't have to take hers to school. Dallin's looks great!

The leprechaun did sneak into their classroom while they were at lunch. Apparently he made a huge mess, peed in their toilet (the water was green), but didn't get caught in any of the traps. He did leave behind a few chocolate gold coins and shamrock cupcakes for them to eat though. Dallin came home and checked both of our toilets for green pee too, but the leprechaun didn't make a stop here.
