I decided to try to do my own little photo shoot of the kids in their Easter clothes. It didn’t turn out quite like I imagined. Just take a look:
Only one turned out remotely good and even then Layton and Mandy are not looking at the camera.
What am I going to do with these kids? At least I’ve learned my lesson. I NEVER want to become a professional kids photographer. Could you imagine trying to do this with other people’s kids? YIKES!!! I did get a few shots of them by themselves that turned out pretty good. I’ll post those tomorrow.

I think they look great! Especially the kissy face ones. I used to photograph children at daycare centers all around. It was NUTS. But I have to say, you put them on a table and put their favorite stuffed animal on your head and its like magic! :)
I love candid shots too so I think you still got some good ones even if they aren't all looking. HOWEVER, I totally understand your frustration. I would like to get some good Easter shots too but I am not sure if I have it in me to try. Caden doesn't want to look and Blake just wants to grab it. Your kids are VERY cute!
Oh, Katheryn, I feel your frustration! I tried to take the kids Christmas photos and about needed medical attention. I took well over 100 shots, and got ONE usable one - I haven't even attempted Easter yet, but with the new camera I have higher hopes.
I really love all your shots and comments. Mandi with the basket made me laugh. ahh, the joys of children when YOU want them to do something!
I totally know how you feel! It is such a struggle to get my three to look at the camera at the same time when I take their picture! You literally have to take 30-40 pictures just to have 3 or 4 decent ones! But, if you do catch that perfect shot, it is worth it! I'm loving my new camera! Keep up the good work! I enjoyed your pics.
