Mandy is such a girl’s girl and oh how I love her so. But like most tender little girls, she gets her feelings hurt so very easily and her emotions are so close to the surface that they often overflow within seconds of something happening that makes her upset. One of her favorite things to do is talk on the phone. She thinks that every phone call we get is someone that wants to talk to her. Which can be a little difficult for me because I receive lots of phone calls throughout the day that I simply can’t say, “Do you mind talking to Mandy for a minute?”, and just hand the phone over to her. Can you imagine the look on a stodgy old engineer’s face if I did that? Ha!! So you can imagine the number of times that I have had to console/distract/discipline away her tears after I hang up the phone and she didn’t get to talk. So thank you to all of you who do willing let me ask that of you and talk to Mandy on the phone even if her conversation is not really that interesting or inspiring. It has saved many many meltdowns. But even if it is not that interesting or inspiring, it is at least entertaining. Especially for me. Just check out her facial expressions.
I think the chocolate all over her face might just be the cutest part!
