Crazy Busy Week
It has been one crazy busy week. Each day I so wished that we were out doing this:
Instead I was driving Dallin 30 minutes one way each morning to baseball camp and then picking him up in the afternoon. Editing pictures until my wrist hurt from using the mouse so much. Answering phone calls left and right for work. Writing two permits and participating in three different permitting teleconferences. Running over an aluminum ladder on the Buckman (hello $500 worth of damage). Receiving a letter from the Florida Department of Revenue that I have to submit every invoice of every item I have ever purchased for my business over the internet. Printing all those invoices and learning that I’m going to have to pay over $900 in “use” tax for those items since the internet companies didn’t charge me sales tax. Yikes. Buying the kids some school clothes and all of their school supplies (I had to go to three different stores to find all of the exact items on their supply list) because school starts in like 3 weeks. Yeah. I know – what the heck happened to the summer? Whew. It’s just been one of those weeks.
All I can say is I am so glad that Nana volunteered to have the kids spend the night at her house tonight and that I get to have a date night with my sweetie. Can’t wait for tonight Nathan!

Last Day of Vacation
Our last day of vacation was a Sunday. We spent the morning at the local church and enjoyed a nice meeting.
Then after a delicious lunch we headed out to try to find some waterfalls to look at. TRY being the operative word. The first one we came to there was NO parking so we couldn’t even stop to look at it. So we pulled over on the side of the road to talk about what we were going to do next and then Kim got stuck in the mud and we came pretty darn close to getting stuck. Luckily we were able to pretty easily push Kim out and Nathan was able to maneuver our van out. Yikes!
Then we stopped at another spot and couldn’t even find the waterfall. Then we decided to go to one that Kim had been to before and FINALLY we were able to see a waterfall.
I was only able to get a couple of pictures there though because then it started to rain a little bit on us.
Whew what a day! At least it was an adventure!!!

Vacation Day 8–Brave and Birthday
On the last Saturday of our vacation we went to see a movie and then celebrated Dallin’s birthday. It was the opening weekend of Brave and we loved it!
We pretty much took up a whole row across the theater.
We had gotten there early (which apparently is NOT something that is done in Asheville because we got there 45 minutes before the movies started thinking there would be a line to get in and we were the ONLY ones there and the theater wasn’t even open – definitely not like an opening weekend here in Orange Park) and Mandy showed us some more of her amazing bendy skills.
After the movie we headed to a skating rink for Dallin’s birthday party.
Even Grandpa got out there – for only like 5 minutes, but hey, he tried!
Layton was super nice (well, you know, after I bribed him) and let all the little kids take turns with his skates. While they did, he spent his time pretending to play video games.
After some mini-cupcakes and ice cream,
Dallin opened all his presents! He loved them all – especially the money :)
After the party, we went up the road and took a look at the little cabins that the Jarvis family used to stay in when Nathan was a kid. And then took a few minutes to play on a nearby playground.
Another great day as our vacation comes to a close!
