Layton had his 6 month check up appointment yesterday. He weighed exactly 15 pounds and was 25 1/2 inches long. That put Layton at the 10th percentile for weight and the 25th percentile for height. I really don't understand what group of kids they measured to create these growth charts. Everyone who sees Layton always comment on his cute chubbiness and his chunky legs. If he is chunky, then how huge must all of the rest of the 6 month old boys be? Because if the growth chart is right, then 90% of all 6 month old boys weigh more than he does. That just seems crazy to me. Dallin did weigh a little more than that at the same age, but only a few ounces. Anyway, the doctor said he looked very healthy and that is all that really matters. He is growing well and doing all the things that a 6 month old should. Poor thing had to have 5 shots though. He would normally only get 4, but we went ahead and did a flu shot too. Needless to say, all of that wore him completely out and when we got home he went down for a nap without any protest at all.
