Dallin decided that we needed some Halloween decorations around our house. He drew these pictures to hang up for us and I thought that they were really cute. I asked Dallin to tell me what everything was and I labeled them per his instructions.
I don't know what baseball has to do with Halloween, but I did find out why the baseball is so big and Dallin is so little. Dallin told me that he was far away when he hit the baseball and he hit it toward us so the baseball is close to us now. I thought that it was interesting that at 5 years old Dallin already understands the concept of perspective and has learned how to apply it in his artwork. Maybe he really is the genius he so often tells us that he is. I know he has Mandy convinced. He counted to 100 by 5s for her and her reply back was, "Dallin you're a genius."

I haven't lived up to McKinnley's idea of Halloween decorations! I put a few things up and the other day then after school she came home and said, "Mom when are we going to decorate for halloween?" I said, "honey I have look right here and here..." She gave me that look and said, "no I mean really decorate." Some of our neighbors go all our with "Junk" all over the house inside and out and she wants all that jazz. Ahhhh. The kids have colored pumpkins and my fridge is colored up. I thought we were all hooked up, I guess NOT!
