The Truth According to Dallin

We were getting ready to take a walk/jog (I would be doing the walking and Nathan would be doing the jogging) to try to get a little exercise.  As I was trying to get Layton to eat the rest of his breakfast, I asked Nathan to go out in the garage and get the stroller ready.  Then thinking that he might not want to, I offered to do it myself and then he could finish feeding Layton.  He immediately said no.  And then from out of no where Dallin pipes up with, “Daddy doesn’t like to do baby work.”  A truer statement has never been made.  Dallin is wise beyond his years.

I love this picture.  It epitomizes what Layton’s life is all about.  He forever wants to be doing exactly what his older siblings are doing. Sadly they don’t always include him, so he just finds a way to include himself!

I hope Mark doesn't mind doing some "baby work" around our house. But that could make the dishes disappear and other things get done that I would normally do. Could be good to have up your sleeve.

Actually, this is a card you can play quite nicely (but don't tell Jon I told you). "Honey, could you take out the trash? *Pause* Or actually I can do it if you want to change the baby's diaper?" Then suddenly they will help out around the house!

Oh, and just in case... she's wearing the bathing suit! I think it's the new "Cute" hoodie. =)
